Per me, lunedì scorso è stato un giorno importante perché sono finalmente riuscito a raggiungere un piccolo obiettivo personale: ho preso la cintura blu in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. (Se mi conosci almeno un po’, saprai che sono una delle persone meno sportive che ci siano, quindi per me è stato davvero un bel traguardo!)

Ecco una foto sudatissimo del momento in cui ho ricevuto la cintura… e sì, adesso i miei studenti sono ancora più motivati a fare i compiti! 😂 💪

Let’s recap what you saw in the video.

“Would” doesn’t mean anything on its own. But when you add a verb after it, you create a conditional sentence. Here are some common examples:

• I would like… – Mi piacerebbe / Vorrei

• I would go – Andrei

• I would have – Avrei

You get the idea—just add any verb after “would” to express a hypothetical situation or polite intention.

Now it’s time to practise! I have a question for you:

“If you won the lottery, what would you do?”
(Se vincessi la lotteria, cosa faresti?)

You can start your answer like this — “I would…” and then add any verb you like to continue the sentence.
