Migliora il tuo inglese oggi - Business English For Italian Professionals
Hi there,
Welcome back to another edition of The English Breakfast — the newsletter for Italian professionals who want to feel more confident and natural using English at work.
The times they are-a-changing
I hope you remembered to turn your clocks back last night — and enjoyed that extra hour in bed this morning! It’s one of the few perks (=benefici) of the end of summertime.
But did you know there are some curious facts behind this tradition?
For instance, what’s the surprising link between Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, and the idea of moving the clocks forward an hour during British Summertime?
Read the article below to find out — and see if you can spot five new English words as you go!
How to boost your Business English vocab (without going crazy)
Do you ever feel like you’ll never remember all the English words you need for work? You’re not alone.
Learning English can feel overwhelming — endless vocabulary lists, confusing expressions, and not enough time to study.
But here’s the good news: you don’t need to learn every word to sound confident and professional. You just need the right ones.
In this article, you’ll discover simple, practical ways to give your Business English vocabulary a boost — and remember it for good.
Learn to Speak English Fluently
Do you want to speak English more fluently and feel confident in conversation? The secret is simple: practice.
But if you don’t use English at work or don’t have English-speaking friends, it can be hard to find chances to speak regularly.
That’s why I’ve started The English Fluency Club - a friendly weekly group session led by me, where you’ll build confidence and learn to talk about any topic naturally.
Right now, I only have 4 spots available, and they’re open to B2-level speakers.
If you’d like to join us, you can enjoy two free sessions to see if it’s a good fit.
Just contact me here with your name, email, and the message “English Fluency Club”.
Who Doesn’t Love Modal Verbs?
I’ve been posting videos and mini-lessons online for the last few years and the response they get is often really surprising.
A video I posted this week got 100x more views than I usually get, with thousands of likes and over a hundred comments, but the funny thing is I almost didn’t post it because I thought it’d be too boring 😅
It talks about how to translate “sarei andato/sarei dovuto andare/sarei potuto andare“ to English using modal verbs in the past (see what I mean? 😆 )
What would you say?

🙂 It was OK.
❌ There was nothing useful for me.
Have a great week and see you next time.
